I had been hearing about this completed but long-shelved slasher flick from <I>Romper Stomper</I> director <B>Geoffrey Wright</B> for some time, so when I had the opportunity to see the <I>only</I> screening of this film in Cannes, I took it. Being a fan of <I>Romper Stomper</I> and slasher flicks in general, I had moderately high expectations for this weird little thriller. And despite the few advance screening reviews out there on the internet that have been universally negative, I was not disappointed.

Cherry Falls, Virginia is the titular town where a bewigged serial killer is dispatching the town's <I>virgins</I> at an alarming pace. One of the targeted virgins happens to be the daughter of town sheriff <B>Michael Biehn</B> (whatever happened to this guy? He's a good actor, dammit!). and sheriff Biehn may know a lot more about this killer than he lets on ...
