<p><i>Holy Mountain</i>? What is <i>Holy Mountain</i>? Well it is a movie by the legendary <b>Alejandro Jodorosky</b>. If you are not familiar with his name or the movie don't worry, most of America isn't either. Jodorosky is one of the most revolutionary filmmakers to ever grace the face of the planet. Critics and fans have equated him to Scorsese, Lynch, Coppola, Cronenberg, and a number of other great directors. His films have been long undistributed in America with the exception of <i>The Rainbow Thief</i> (unfortunately his worst film) and <i>Santa Sangre</i> (his most violent film which was released here in an edited R version).<i> Holy Mountain</i> ranks as the directors most accomplished movie. It is surprising that the film is not more widely known since the film is quite epic and if made today in Hollywood could likely by the most controversial and expensive movie ever made.</p>
