eDrive is operated by eFind, LLC (“eFind,” “eDrive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect and otherwise process personal information when you visit eDrive.com, communicate with us, join the eDrive newsletter, contact us, or use eDrive products and services.
eDrive is a Personal AI Cloud that helps people organize, find, understand and interact with files, photos, documents, videos, memories and other information. We update this Policy as appropriate when material processing practices or product features change.
1. Our Privacy Principles
Your information is yours
You retain ownership of the files, photos, documents, videos and other content you store with eDrive. Using eDrive does not transfer ownership of that content to eFind or eDrive.
AI should make your information more useful
eDrive is designed to help you search, organize, understand, summarize and interact with your own information using artificial intelligence.
Privacy and security should be built in
We intend privacy and security considerations to be part of the design of eDrive rather than features added later.
You should understand what happens to your information
We want our privacy practices to be understandable and to explain what we process, why, and the choices available to you.
2. Information You Provide to Us
Depending on the services you use, you may provide your name, email address, account credentials, profile information, communications, support requests, feedback, survey responses, newsletter or early-access registrations, billing and transaction information if paid services become available, and other information you choose to provide.
3. Your Files and Content
When storage services become available, you may upload, store, synchronize, import, organize or otherwise process documents, photographs, videos, audio, PDFs, receipts, records, presentations, spreadsheets, notes, archives, file names, folders, metadata, dates and timestamps, and other digital content (“Your Content”). Your Content may contain personal information about you or others. Your files are yours. We do not acquire ownership merely because you store or process them using eDrive.
4. Photos, Videos and Memories
To provide features you request, eDrive may process capture dates, file metadata, album information, descriptions, user-created labels, approximate or embedded location metadata, objects or subjects appearing in images, text appearing within images and other information necessary to organize or search your content. We will provide additional disclosures or controls where appropriate before introducing features that materially change this processing.
5. Ask eDrive and AI Features
To answer requests such as “Find the receipt for our refrigerator,” “Show me photos from our Hawaii vacation,” “Summarize these insurance documents,” or “Compare these two proposals,” eDrive may process your prompt, relevant portions of Your Content, associated metadata, search results, contextual information and AI-generated responses. We intend to limit this processing to what is reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain and improve eDrive, subject to this Policy and feature-specific controls.
6. AI Training and Your Content
eDrive's production AI architecture, AI providers, contractual safeguards, retention practices and model-improvement practices are still being finalized. We will not make promises about AI training practices that our final technical architecture and provider agreements cannot support. Before customers place private production content into AI-powered eDrive services, we intend to publish clear information explaining how that content is processed and whether, and under what circumstances, information may be used to improve AI systems. Where appropriate, we will provide relevant user controls.
7. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit eDrive.com or use eDrive services, technical information may include IP address, browser type, operating system, device type and identifiers, referring pages, pages or features viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, access time, application or website activity, diagnostic and crash information, security events and similar technical information.
8. Connected Services
Some eDrive features may let you connect third-party services or import information. If you do, we may receive information you authorize that service to provide. What we receive depends on the service, permissions, available information and feature you choose. Review third-party privacy practices before connecting them.
9. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to provide eDrive; create and maintain accounts; store and retrieve Your Content; provide search and AI features; organize files and photos; personalize requested features; authenticate users; maintain security; detect fraud, abuse or unauthorized access; provide support; communicate with you; send requested newsletters or product updates; process payments if introduced; diagnose problems; analyze performance; develop and improve eDrive; enforce terms; comply with law; and protect eDrive, eFind, LLC, users and others.
10. Service Providers
Providers may assist with cloud infrastructure, data storage, cybersecurity, AI, email delivery, customer support, analytics, payment processing and technical operations. We intend to provide only information reasonably necessary for them to perform services on our behalf and require appropriate contractual protections where applicable.
11. Your Direction and Connected Services
We may disclose information when you direct us to, such as when sharing a file, connecting a service, exporting information or collaborating with another person.
12. Legal, Safety and Security Reasons
We may preserve, access or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; respond to lawful government requests; enforce agreements; investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents or illegal activity; protect rights, property or safety; or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
13. Corporate Transactions
If eFind, LLC or an eDrive business or asset is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, asset sale or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred where permitted by law.
14. Selling or Sharing Personal Information
eDrive is a Personal AI Cloud, not an advertising data marketplace. We do not intend to sell the contents of your private eDrive files as a business model. Because privacy laws may define “sell” and “share” broadly, we evaluate technologies and providers and provide legally required disclosures and opt-out mechanisms.
15. Cookies and Similar Technologies
eDrive.com may use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation, security, preferences, performance and analytics where implemented. Our Cookie Policy will describe technologies actually deployed and available choices. Where required, we will request consent before non-essential cookies.
16. Access, Correction and Account Information
Depending on the service and applicable law, you may have rights to access information, learn how it is processed, correct inaccuracies, delete certain information, receive a copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where applicable, and appeal certain privacy decisions.
17. Exporting Your Information
Your information belongs to you. As production services are developed, we intend to provide reasonable ways to retrieve or export information, subject to technical limitations, security requirements, legal obligations and the nature of the service.
18. Deleting Your Information
Where supported, you may delete content or request account deletion. Information may remain temporarily in backups, security systems, fraud-prevention records or systems where retention is reasonably necessary or legally required.
19. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested services, maintain accounts, fulfill instructions, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. More specific retention information will be provided as production services are finalized.
20. Protecting Your Information
We intend to use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and services. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users should protect credentials and notify us if they believe an account has been compromised.
21. Children's Privacy
eDrive is not currently intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. If family or child-focused services are introduced, appropriate parental controls, consent mechanisms, disclosures and safeguards will be implemented as required by law. Concerns may be sent to legal@efind.com.
22. California Residents
Eligible California residents may have rights to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; access specific information; request deletion subject to exceptions; request correction; opt out of certain sales or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable; and receive equal service for exercising privacy rights. See our California Privacy Notice.
23. California Privacy Requests
Applicable requests may be submitted to legal@efind.com or through the privacy/contact method provided on eDrive.com. We may need to verify identity. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to appropriate verification.
24. Do Not Sell or Share
If eDrive sells or shares personal information as defined by applicable California law, we will provide a “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism as required, and address legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals where applicable.
25. European Privacy Rights
Individuals in the EEA, UK and Switzerland may have additional rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent and the right to lodge a complaint with an appropriate authority. See our GDPR Privacy Notice.
26. Legal Bases for Processing
Where European data protection law applies, processing may rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations and consent, depending on the information and purpose.
27. International Data Transfers
eFind, LLC is based in the United States. If you use eDrive outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where eDrive or its providers operate. Where required, we intend to use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.
28. Third-Party Websites and Services
